Lynn web imageLynn Clayton
Lynn is a current Travcom committee member and the past president of The Photographic Society of New Zealand. She remains an active member, is an approved photographic judge and has been a guest of The Chinese Photographic Assoc. several times.

Lynn mentors and teaches photography to groups and individuals. Closer to home, her “AUCKLAND” exhibition in 2016 was very successful and her recent exhibition “ICE” was part of the Auckland Festival of Photography. She has won numerous Travcom awards over the years including the best unpublished image, this year.

Lynn will share her approach to creating images when travelling and how this differs from other photographic genres and turning travel images into art and exhibitions.

Liz has a background in writing and photographing and has won numerous Travcom awards for both her writing and photography.  Last year Liz was asked by a British publishing company, John Beaufoy Ltd, to do a NZ photography-based travel book. Enchanting New Zealand, is 80 pages and has 200 or so images.

Liz will talk about how she juggled the publishers need for iconic images - “They wanted cheesy and touristy and done-100-times images and I wanted to provide images that were as artful and as original as I could make them. The sun doesn’t always shine here and I don’t like i-phone blue.”

Peter Rees web imagePeter Rees
Peter is a professional fine art and commercial photographer based on Waiheke Island.   After several years of running a gallery and teaching painting and photography, Peter now concentrates on producing and exhibiting his own work.  In recent years Peter has spoken at numerous photographic societies including being the opening keynote speaker for the Photographic Society of New Zealand’s 65th annual convention in 2017.

Peter will talk about intention in photography and retaining a personal style in your work regardless of where you photograph.  “Take yourself with you, look for the difference through your own eyes and don’t be seduced by the obvious.”
